The Custom Drapery Process

Whether it’s a one-room transformation or a whole house of custom drapery, you can expect top notch service from La Belle Designs. We do everything start to finish starting with fabric selection, drapery design, fabrication and professional installation. Experience has demonstrated that a well-executed process is the formula for creating beautiful custom designs, while keeping our customers updated on our progress and satisfied with our service.

The design process

1) Getting To Know You Before your initial in-home consultation, I will spend time speaking with you over the phone. This will help me get a feel for your drapery style, interior color palette and functional needs. I can then prepare the designer fabric and custom hardware samples that will best fit your home.

2) In-home Consultation The design process continues in your home. This allows you to view designer fabric samples in the rooms where they will be used. I will help you find the perfect fabric and custom hardware to fit your style. Then detailed window measurements will be taken.

3) Final Details Depending on your project, we may need to meet again for final selections, and to review design details. Once the fabric, hardware and design are selected, I will collect a deposit and begin work on your custom window treatments.

4) Installation The big day is here! Your drapery installation will be scheduled 1-2 weeks ahead of time. On install day, I will arrive with the installer. We will work together to ensure your custom window treatments are installed and dressed properly.
